The Slovenská autobusová doprava Dunajská Streda, akciová spoločnosť PLC (its short name as SAD Dunajská Streda, a.s.) is a carrier in the fields of regular passenger services (regular services), contractual transportation and irregular (coach) bus services.
On May 1st of 2022 the company employs 291 employees, of which 250 are drivers, 36 are members of the economics staff and 5 are workers. The company owns 242 buses of different variants, with 28 to 71 seats in them. The annual turnover of the company reaches almost 16.5 million EUR. 

Company history

The Slovenská autobusová doprava Dunajská Streda, akciová spoločnosť PLC has had more than 60 years of experience in the fields of freight transport and regular passenger services under the name of Československá automobilová doprava (abbreviated as ČSAD).
The Slovenská autobusová doprava Dunajská Streda, akciová spoločnosť, with its headquarters at Bratislavská cesta 918/2,  929 13  Dunajská Streda,  was established by a deed of foundation on the 10th September 2001, according to  Art. 162 et seq. of the Commercial Code and according to Art. 12. para. 2 and point a) of Act No. 92/1991 Coll. On the Conditions of Transfer of the State Assets to Other Persons, as amended, and in accordance with the Decision No. 749., file No. KM-325/2001. (of 17th May, 2001)  of the Ministry for Administration and Privatisation of National Property on the Privatisation of the Slovenská autobusová doprava Dunajská Streda State Enterprise (in its short version as SAD Dunajská Streda, State Enterprise) on the realisation of privatisation project, held in the registry of the Ministry under No. 2237, and in accordance with the Decision No. 71. (of 6th September, 2001) of the Ministry of Transport, Posts and Telecommunication of the Slovak Republic. On the 1st October 2001 the company took over all rights, obligations and responsibilities (the unknown ones, too) of the dissolved State Enterprise, Slovenská autobusová doprava Dunajská Streda, its short version as SAD Dunajská Streda, š.p., Dunajská Streda, Reg.No.: 34 005 439.
In the year 2002 a new investor enters the company – it is the Dunajskostredská autobusová doprava, s.r.o., with its headquarters at Bratislavská cesta 918/2, Dunajská Streda (hereinafter ‚DSAD, s.r.o.‘), which acquires 49% of the shares of the company in the tendering procedure. In the year 2003, by exercising his pre-emption rights (according to the share purchase agreement), the investor acquires 17% of the shares (the amount of shares before the capital increase), and thus, it becomes the controlling shareholder of the company as the owner of 62.32% of the shares of the company’s capital.
